Councilor Members

Councillors are elected officials voted in by KFN members. They act as one voice representing the KFN community. Their duties entail loyality, honesty, confidentiality of information received by them in their official capacities with KFN. Every councillor owes a duty of care to the KFN and must excercise the degree of skill, excellence and due diligence reasonably expected of his/her knowledge and expertise. Councillors have a duty to advocate for the movement of the KFN towards the agreed vision and establish goals and objectives as adopted from time to time and approved by the council and by the KFN community. Councillors have a responsibility to ensure the band administrator and team are providing them with the information they require to make decisions and to provide organizational oversight. They also have a duty to supply appropriate and timely information to the band administrator to enable the admin team to carry out the approved vision.
